BMW Classic Café

On the listed BMW site on Moosacherstrasse in Munich, CBA planned the redesign of the existing Classic Café. The elongated space, to which a small museum is also attached, extends from Moosacherstrasse to the inner courtyard.
BMW internal and external visitors are offered breakfast and small meals here in addition to the café operation. The small café is also the end point of the guided tours through the archive halls of BMW Classics.

The center of the room is formed by the bar and sales counter, which is clad with reflective surfaces. This visually breaks up the massive block. The distinctive polished stainless steel edges on the fixtures in the existing building are retained and, as a recurring element, form an important part of the material concept of the interior.
The long, continuous wall creates a reference to BMW Classics. The repeating, oversized black and white photo of a BMW 3.0 CSL is the defining element of the interior design, which radiates through the large arched windows into the exterior space, especially in the evening. A glass exhibition showcase was integrated into the wall, displaying various BMW art cars.

Office space Accenture Munich

CBA planned the new office space with a total area of 14,000m2 on the campus of the “Neue Balan” in Munich for the globally active consulting company Accenture. The challenge of the project was to combine several sub-companies of Accenture at one location and in one design concept. The large areas were structured and organized through a city-like concept. The result is an office that combines the themes of work, communication, interaction and recreation in three buildings in an innovative way.

An interior concept had to be developed which could be implemented on a few thousand square meters and still respond to the needs of the individual companies. An urban planning approach in which the elements of a city such as parks, plazas and neighborhoods were interpreted in terms of interior architecture finally formed the basis of the design, which optimally implements Accenture’s New Work requirements.

The existing buildings dictated the industrial look of the interior. Modern, high-quality surfaces were deliberately contrasted with the rough, white concrete surfaces. Uses in the buildings resulted from the geometries of the existing buildings. The parks and plazas were deliberately placed in the respective connecting corners of the U-shaped ensemble to create short distances and to promote communication and interaction among the employees. The project was implemented with local and regional craftsmen as far as possible.

The clear configuration of the areas, similar to urban development, makes it easy to find your way around the building. Parks and plazas are located where the buildings meet. The most public areas, such as the Connect Space and the Campus Max, are located on the ground floor.

Box Greiner AG

For Greiner AG from Linz, a 35 m² box was planned and developed in the new LASK stadium.
The center of the design is an LED wall in front of which a wall filled with recycled plastic granulate was placed. The granulate is the basic material for Greiner AG’s plastic processing. The light refraction of the small plastic particles creates an almost sculptural effect of the LED screen behind it.
The light strips running along the wall and ceiling immerse the room in different color scenarios. Thus, the individual sub-companies of Greiner AG can present themselves in their CI in the box.

Restaurant Augustinum

A restaurant was planned on the groundfloor of a new building for the Augustinum, a retirement home in Munich. The new residential tower is surrounded by a small park in the center of the complex. The three-sided façade of the ground-floor restaurant creates a strong connection to the outdoor space. The small surrounding park was thematically incorporated into the interior design, with the ceiling elements as well as the furniture and counter cladding in different shades of green.
An open kitchen is connected to the restaurant, where cooking events and functions can be held.

House R

On the outskirts of Munich, a single-family house is being built whose polygonally bent roof shape clearly stands out from the surrounding buildings. Resulting from the given building law, the unusual roof shape complies with the specifications by keeping the distance areas and the roof shapes to be observed.

The building is divided into two elements. On the one hand, there is the white, cubic base, and on the other, the roof, which is set up like a sculpture. Through the generous glass facades, a lot of light penetrates into the interior of the building. A gallery opening connects the first floor with the bridge-like corridor on the upper floor.
