Box corridor Allianz Arena

The circulating corridor in the Allianz Arena, which opens up to all 105 of the stadium’s boxes, will be redesigned on a total length of about 740m. The goal is to create a higher quality of stay with the possibility of short communication. This will involve distributing floor speakers along the entire length, emerging from the walls at angles and serving a second purpose of high tables. Ceiling speakers with information and signs help visitors orient themselves. Additionally, each side of the stadium will receive a color code which will be implemented in the form of colored surfaces in the floor and ceiling speakers.

Canteen Johannes Gutenberg University

The new construction of the old canteen at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz is based on the idea of creating a room that appears flexible and nearly improvised. The large space is divided and structured through individual rooms separated by curtains. For large events, these room dividers can be raised to create a continuously usable area. The original food line will be maintained in its function and enhanced by promotion stands in the guest area.

Conversion St. Jakob-Park stadium

The redesign of FC Basel’s Premium Lounge in the St. Jakob Park stadium envisages a completely new interior and food concept. Large-scale, tactile materials convey a sense of worth and emotion to the guests. The striped wall covering of concrete, brass, and black glass creates a mixture of gloss, reflection, and matt surfaces. Heavy fabric curtains visually interrupt the strict, horizontal layering of the wall materials. The buffets will be distributed across the area in the form of stations, giving the room rhythm and forming meeting points for visitors. Guests are invited to explore these stands and observe the preparation of the dishes.

Restaurant freiraum

The project includes planning the interior design of a new restaurant on the Business Campus Garching in the north of Munich. The two-storey building contains an open free flow area on the ground floor that resembles a marketplace with individual market stalls. Visitors can sit and eat along the facade as well as directly at the stations. The facade made completely of glass creates a strong visual relationship between the interior and exterior space. The quieter seating area of the restaurant is located on the top floor. Heavy, large curtains divide and give rhythm to the surface as well as continuously creating semi-separate areas. A steel grid is hung in front of the glass facade as sight and sun protection, also lending the area a rather introverted appearance from the outside.

Business Club Allianz Arena

The reconstruction envisages the restructuring and redesign of the Business Club in the Allianz Arena in Munich. The large, existing kitchen islands will be exchanged for small elements adapted to the food concept and the room proportion in their scale. Every unit is assigned to a specific culinary theme. The stations give rhythm to and divide the surface through their number and order. The architectural concept of the wave-like siding on the counters and walls picks up on the themes of motion, dynamism, and emotion, derived from the atmosphere of the stadium’s interior. The interior design is enhanced by furniture from Rolf Benz.

Arena Bistro

The largest restaurant in the Allianz Arena in Munich was reconstructed according to CBA’s design. The elongated room is divided by bent, medium-high wooden walls. Steel storage shelves underline the rhythm of the room and serve as decoration. The new, open kitchen block in the middle of the surface forms the center of the Arena Bistro.

Hotel Nymphenburger Strasse

CBA was commissioned to convert an office building from 1980 into a hotel. The building’s interior was renovated and features 96 hotel rooms of different sizes after the reconstruction. The reception, a breakfast/lounge area and a fitness room form the service areas on the ground and basement floors. The top floors offer an impressive view of the surrounding Alps from the hotel rooms.

Haus D

A vacant, former barracks area in Munich was to be converted into a day bar and cooking lounge. To achieve this, the single-storey, listed building basically had a new construction “implanted”. The volume placed into the existing shell remains readable through the protruding vestibule and the reveals of the new windows. The sobriety of the white interior stands in stark contrast to the property’s fragmented brick facade.
