Conversion St. Jakob-Park stadium

The redesign of FC Basel’s Premium Lounge in the St. Jakob Park stadium envisages a completely new interior and food concept. Large-scale, tactile materials convey a sense of worth and emotion to the guests. The striped wall covering of concrete, brass, and black glass creates a mixture of gloss, reflection, and matt surfaces. Heavy fabric curtains visually interrupt the strict, horizontal layering of the wall materials. The buffets will be distributed across the area in the form of stations, giving the room rhythm and forming meeting points for visitors. Guests are invited to explore these stands and observe the preparation of the dishes.

Quiksilver, Roxy and DC Shoes

The starting point for this design concept draws inspiration from the industrial heritage of the building, with its rich history of former occupancies. The project will preserve the authentic and rough character of the space, revealing the unique textures and stories expressed in the structure and materials such as the exposed steel trusses and worn concrete floor. Within this industrial framework, we will introduce elements like racks, shelves and boxes for displaying the clothes and shoes.

The palette of materials will be kept neutral and desaturated, to allow the colours of the clothes themselves to be the main focus in the space. Plywood elements will create warmth and the white walls will accentuate the quality of light from the saw tooth clerestory windows.

The project plans the renovation and expansion of a terraced house in Munich. The new areas will additively be attached to the property. By staggering the additions, distance areas will be kept and the house’s original cubage remains recognizable. Restaurant freiraum

The project includes planning the interior design of a new restaurant on the Business Campus Garching in the north of Munich. The two-storey building contains an open free flow area on the ground floor that resembles a marketplace with individual market stalls. Visitors can sit and eat along the facade as well as directly at the stations. The facade made completely of glass creates a strong visual relationship between the interior and exterior space. The quieter seating area of the restaurant is located on the top floor. Heavy, large curtains divide and give rhythm to the surface as well as continuously creating semi-separate areas. A steel grid is hung in front of the glass facade as sight and sun protection, also lending the area a rather introverted appearance from the outside.

H33

The existing building from the year 1956 – in a prominent location across from the Rosenkranz church in Neubiberg – will be completely renovated and raised by another level. The gable will be turned by 90° towards the street, the cullis asymmetrically moved to maintain the setback. A new building volume will thereby be created while still incorporating the preservation-worthy building. The irregularly-structured window openings underline the monolithic, sculptural appearance of the structure.

Business Club Allianz Arena

The reconstruction envisages the restructuring and redesign of the Business Club in the Allianz Arena in Munich. The large, existing kitchen islands will be exchanged for small elements adapted to the food concept and the room proportion in their scale. Every unit is assigned to a specific culinary theme. The stations give rhythm to and divide the surface through their number and order. The architectural concept of the wave-like siding on the counters and walls picks up on the themes of motion, dynamism, and emotion, derived from the atmosphere of the stadium’s interior. The interior design is enhanced by furniture from Rolf Benz.

Collider Activity Center

The design for the Collider Activity Center in Mladost includes both the design of the building and the design of the park. The open, urban space was divided into various themed areas. The most important themed strip houses the Collider Activity Center itself. The building separates the park from the street to create a quiet regeneration zone.
The striking silhouette of the building has a high recognition value and identifies the building as a landmark. The combination of all uses in one compact space guarantees the cost and energy efficiency of the complex.
The building not only offers an indoor climbing hall, but also the possibility to climb the building from the outside on the south façade.
The various units in the building are housed in simple, cubic rooms in order to achieve the greatest possible flexibility. The separation of use is partially eliminated by visual connections between the various facilities and also between the interior and exterior spaces.
Simple materials and constructions follow the intensive use of the building. Short distances facilitate daily business and use by visitors.

House Geipel

The design envisages the reconstruction and expansion of a townhouse in Munich. The spatial expansion of a box on the ground floor generates a flowing room containing kitchen, dining area, and living space. The addition takes on the outer edges of the existing house, creating a flowing transition between the interior and exterior. Additionally, the large glass facade allows for a lot of light inside. Both of the top rooms receive a terrace on the room of the addition, also connecting these rooms to the outdoor area and visually enlarging them.

Attic extension Frankfurt

The building is located in Frankfurt’s Westend district. The lower part of the apartment was renovated and expanded by the attic. A gallery opening for the internal staircase forms the connection between the upstairs and downstairs areas. This creates interesting views between the kitchen, dining area, and living room, visually extending the apartment. The large window front in the attic as well as a new loggia let a lot of light inside and open up the view of Frankfurt’s skyline.
